HOW TO MAKE SEA MOSS GEL

It is important to first, clean the sea moss and remove any sea debris, dirt, or particles. When handling sea moss always make sure your hands are clean so that you do not contaminate the sea moss and be sure to use purified water. Clean your sea moss twice to make sure it is cleaned thoroughly.

Place the sea moss in a large bowl, cover it with water, and massage the sea moss. This allows you to remove any excess dirt and debris. Drain the water and repeat this process until the water is clear and not cloudy.

After cleaning the sea moss, fill your large bowl with purified water, we use distilled water for all of our gels however spring water is fine if you don’t have a distiller. Put enough water to cover all the sea moss and wrap the top of your bowl with cling film. Place the bowl in the fridge and allow the sea moss to soak for at least 12 hours (you can keep your Sea Moss soaked for up to 48 hours).

Now that your Sea Moss is soaked, you will notice that it has absorbed the water and expanded in size. We can now proceed to making the gel.

Put your sea moss in a high-powered blender and add distilled or spring water. Blitz the Sea Moss for roughly 3-5 minutes, and you will see it forming into a gooey and thick texture.

Store into a clean glass jar and keep refrigerated. Your Gel will last 2-3 weeks in the fridge, and up to 3 months when frozen.
